Literary Services

So, you’re writing a book, term paper, college admission essay, or any other written work, but you’re not really sure where to go next. Well, you’ve come to the right place! I’m here to help you edit, restructure, refine, or simply put the finishing touches on your writing. When writing a book, for example, many publishing companies want a manuscript to already be edited and ready to put into production; hiring a freelance editor, like me, is the best way to ensure that your great idea doesn’t end up thrown aside and forgotten. The purpose of professional editing is to make your work shine.

I edit many different types of literary works such as books, short stories, college term papers, admissions essays, copy for websites, and even wedding ceremonies. Please feel free to explore my website to learn a little more about me, and contact me in order to discuss your project and specific needs.

About Me

Kristin has a Bachelor's degree in English Language & Literature and is a self-professed grammar geek. She began her education at Boston University, majoring in biochemistry, but quickly realized that her passion and natural talent was leading her towards a career as an editor.

She currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two Goldendoodles. She is passionate about helping authors take their books from a Word Document to a finished product. Her past experience includes co-writing a book, as well as editing manuscripts and short stories.

Content Editing

This type of editing deals with the big picture: the overall structure, believability of characters, and making sure your writing is consistent within the context work.

Copy Editing

Copy editing is the most common form of editing. This type of editing includes correcting grammatical errors, sentence structure, word choice, consistencies, and improving the overall flow of writing.

Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process. It invloves light grammatical correction, such as insuring correct placement of quotation marks, deletion of extra spaces, etc.
